Back in Business!

Let's be honest here... 10 days and no blogging has seriously made me a tad depressed! But I have been so slammed with work,

(real estate and busy in January are usually 3 words that do NOT go together but I've had 3 closings so far and the month is only half over, and just got another under contract this week! woohoo! maybe the market is turning around in 2012?!? I am keeping my fingers crossed at least!)

and also lots of busy-ness in my personal life this past week, not to mention I have been working on my closet in hopes of having a Blog Sale by the end of the week!!!!! :)

(by writing that down for you all to read I am committing myself to do it lol!)

SO excited to report my phone case came in from Marley Lily and is adorable... and I was right, the brightness is making me happy during this dreary weather!

And to go along with the case... my assistant, Emily (who is obvi so talented at several things!) stumbled across my new favorite app and I just knew everyone would love it so wanted to share....

Next on the agenda...speaking of the king himself, my baby is home and feeling much better!

I am still not convinced he is 100%, but he got his stitches out over the weekend and seems to be healing still and almost back to himself :)

He loves to lay on top of "mountains" haha idk what his deal is, he jumps to the top of everything!)

This weekend we worked on a MAJOR undertaking...

Ella's Science Fair Project!

Her project was "What Bubble Gum Blows the Biggest Bubble?"

Girl is creative.

(it also was what I did in the 4th grade for mine and once she heard that she wouldn't do anything else ha! We got books on projects, googled ideas, everything, but this was what she chose which is hysterical to me because not only did I do it, BUT then when my little brother was in school he remembers me doing his science fair project for him and doing the same exact thing lol!)

It turned out adorable... we took pics of each bubble she blew after 3 tries with each different gum!

She had fun doing it and the best part was today she said everyone at school said it was their favorite!

So cute and so proud of her!! :)

Last but not least, I have not Pinterest shared in weeks :( So here are just a few of my recent favorites pins ... and in case you were wondering, I am daily think of what I did with my life at red lights, when I can't sleep, when I am waiting for something or someone, etc, before there was Pinterest!?!?!

Weekend Random

This weekend has flown by! It was beautiful weather here and I am so thankful for that! I am bound and determined to not get the "winter blues" this year, lol, and this 55 degree sunshine in January is really helping me! :)

I had an AWESOME Open House Today.. One of the BEST ever!

39 people that I counted came out to see this house today! WOW!

If you live in Lex and know anyone looking for a finished basement, in the Hartland neighborhood or area, that has been updated, please tell them about this house! It's a great deal!!

Lastly, my beautiful friend, Emily, is preggo!

And I am helping plan her baby shower which is in February.. I am in charge of the cake (duh!) and her theme is a "Sip & See" Tea Baby Shower... so cute!

Maybe Cake Pops for Party Favors when the guests leave, with a cute little "Thank You" from the Mommy & Daddy attached!

Then here is a combo of the cakes I have chosen so far... will probably take bits and pieces from them all and combine to make something fabulous!

I am SOO excited for Emily's shower! Can't wait to celebrate her new "Mommy to Be" status!

The shower is going to be celeb style, let me just tell you!

Emily knows how to throw a party (clearly we were always meant to be friends!) and her awesome mom is having it catered and everything!

There may or may not even be a little makeup session being done prior with the mommy to be and the hostesses (is that a word?) and some fake eyelash action going on! Haha! That is how we do it ;)

7. When was the last time you showered? last night (cleaned all day today and took down Christmas stuff, had a grungy day ha!)

Frankie

Hello Friends!

This has been a crazy week... let me start with the fact that I am a tad depressed... the Santa header and Christmas music is officially gone (doens't it seem a little blah now?) and next is tackling taking down my Christmas decor still up in my house, tomorrow! I dread taking everything down, but am ready to get the house back in tip top shape and clean!!

Secondly, I have not had time to blog about it this week just with everything going on, BUT...

my baby had surgery yesterday...

This was him on the way to surgery yesterday morning :( So Sad!

(Note: Of course I packed his bed, his fave toys, two blankies, and his "sleeping bag" which is his most favorite thing to lay on ha!)

For the last couple of months he has been pee-peeing ALL over the place, like little pees here and there, just everywhere! He pees outside, then comes in and pees 15 minutes later. I had been getting after him thinking he was just being mad or something. I decided to take him to his Dr. this past Saturday because I thought maybe he was getting a UTI or something? They did tests and found no infection... then decided to do an Xray and found (gasp!) not 1, but 4 kidney stones!! :(

Long story short, two of them were really bad.... they are called Calcium Oxide crystal stone that look like this... Brace Yourself ha!

Ugh.. doesn't that just look painful?

Don't worry, if you're thinking you would like to see the real thing, you just might get to haha!

When I spoke to his doctor yesterday after surgery he said he saved them for me...

Gee, thanks! Just what I wanted... bahahaha

And just because I know you are DYING to know the deets ;)

Two stones, one in the bladder and one in the urethra ... poor poor baby.... he will have stitches all up his little belly and privates :( So Sad!

The surgery went well!

(thanks to all my Fbook friends and your prayers!)

He will be staying there and in recovery for about 4-5 days... I miss him so much, I woke up a million times last night looking for him ha. (Crazy dog mom, fine, whatever, I know!) :)

In conclusion... do any of you lovelies need to buy a house? I will need a sale to pay for this little trip to the O.R. hahahaha jk, but in real life, little sick Frankie is NOT cheap let me just tell you!

Please keep him in your little prayers until he is safe and healed and home :) Thank you! XO

I also FINALLLY ordered a cell phone case for my new iPhone 4S :)

There were wayyy too many choices for me, but I opted for one that is bright and happy (will be cute in the Summer and cheer me up in the yucky Winter ha!)

This is the one I ordered... can't wait to get it... can't believe I've gone this long without a case and my phone hasn't broken (knock on wood)!

Can't wait for my order to come in!! :)

Happy 2012, New Years Eve, & Pinteresting Monday!

Hi Yall!

Happy Monday... and...

Hope yall had a great time ringing in the New Year! I had such a blessed 2011, I am so excited to see what 2012 brings! I don't do New Year's Resolutions... period. I don't think I ever have. I don't like the pressure and also why do we need one specific day to start (or stop ha) doing something!?? Not my thing... but I understand people getting into it and trying I guess.

Anywho... MOST IMPORTANTLY before anything else... do you know what today is??

They're back!!!!! Wooohooooo!!

If you don't watch Pretty Little Liars... then you REALLY need to! It is my favorite show and even surpasses the Housewives and Tori & Dean, if that tells you anything. I can not wait to watch it tonight! (And thank goodness good shows are starting back up, over the holidays there has been nothing on TV at all!!)

Next on the agenda, New Year's Eve...

I would love to tell you that Chris and I did something glamorous and fab ... but this year we decided to let the kids do the entertaining and have a New Year's Eve Slumber Party w/ a couple of their friends from school... let me tell you what.. it was WILD... and by wild I mean devouring 5 bottles of sparkling grape juice, dancing to the surround sound and Just Dance 3 for hours, blowing confetti all over the Living Room (mild OCD attack, I had the vacuum out within 10 minutes of that little messy ditty haha!) and staying up until 3am (with one girl getting a stomach ache and having her dad pick her up at 2am, poor thing!) :(

I got this cute idea from Pinterest ...

We got balloons blown up and put little notes inside for them to pop "on the hour" and I'm pretty sure that was their favorite thing of the night... they literally counted down til each hour.

Inside we did the following notes:

7pm - Have a dance party!

8pm - Make Brownies

9pm - Pop your Confetti Poppers

10pm - Do some Kareoke (which was to Taylor Swift I might add! Ha!)

11pm - Make a Toast (w/ Sparkling Grape Juice, don't worry, but in Champagne glasses ha!)

Midnight - Make Some Noice!! :)

We had some super cute feather party hats! :) It was a blast!

Before the end of the night, I wrote down some questions on cards and had each of them sit in a chair and answer the questions about their year, and recorded them :) This will be a great thing to keep for the future and do every New Year's Eve! They were hysterical and so sweet and the kids loved doing them... I think they thought they were on iCarly maybe hahaha

They are obviously too long to share but Jake's was absolutely the funniest thing ever... I had to read them to him since he can't read but his answers were so funny... Take a look :)

I would like to note three parts... his favorite food is a lunchable ?? He has maybe had one lunchable ever at our house ha you would think he doesn't eat cooked meals?!?! ... and he wants to be Ben10 when he grows up! and he is thankful for Transformers! Hahahaha! Too Funny!! We were dying, as you can tell in the background the girls could not hold it together to be quiet for him, poor thing lol!

Ok now for a little Pinterest :)

OMG How cute are those pillows? They are THE perfect new parent gift! I am obsessed! I think they were $60 ...? Takes 2-3 weeks to ship. I LOVE them!! What a great keepsake!
