My Christmas Wishlist

Well with a week left until Christmas... I have finally pulled together my wishlist :)
If for no other reason than just to lust over all these fun/cute things... but also maybe so Chris can finally have ideas without telling me I haven't told him anything LOL
I have been going back to Barre Amped this week and am ready to get back in the swing of things... too much stress and being fat is one less thing to stress about ha! So I am getting my butt back in shape! BUT, I do need some new Lulu to help with that of course ;)

LOVING these Wunder Under Pants that Gather! So cute!

The tanks are my favorite, this one is so cute! I like that it's not super tight! And also this long sleeve shirt would be nice for the winter too!

I think I've wanted these for about two years now lol for some reason have never gotten them, but I looked at them again recently and realized I need them! They are so cozy and comfy!

Ok now don't judge.
But I want both of these books...

I was completely mildy obsessed with the Casey Anothony case. It still sickens me that she walked free. I know I probably shouldn't read it, but I just can't help it. I still want to. And of course I am reading Kris Jenner's book... who isn't obsessed with the Kardashians? That's a no brainer!

I am loving the Apple TV, I am dying to see if it's as cool as it seems! You can link your iPhone, iPad, etc to the Apple TV which will then stream through to your big TV! Really wanting to test this out!

Speaking of iPhone... I am loving this little printer for your phone! Print out your pictures right after you take them! Ahhhhh NEED THIS!! Want this so bad!!

Still haven't seen this movie! I know, I've been under a rock! Want this DVD so I can be a part of the rest of the world haha

LOVE Miranda! This new CD is awesome from what I have previewed! Chris thinks I am last person left in the world who buys CD's still. But I like to listen to them in the car without using my phone! Plus I kind of still like having CD's ... kind of like people who still like to physically write in a planner every day instead of only using their phone calendar ha!

And then of course just for fun...

I am loving this! It would look so cute in my office :)
Does anyone know if they really work??

I think that's all I can think of!
I truly really do love giving more than receiving... I like to watch other people open their presents and enjoy getting things... I like shopping for other people and really trying to think of things they would love or want! I get more out of giving to someone than I do opening something for me!

I am bad about just buying something that I like when I see it, and I honestly really don't NEED one single thing this Christmas... being with family and friends cooking and celebrating is enough for me! These other things are fun though ;) I must admit!

PS. Ladies, you know Lulu will make me work out harder.. I've tried explaining this to Chris... I don't think he understands ha,  a little help would be lovely! Thanks. LOL

Some Videos for your Tuesday

HELLO FRIENDS!

I recently saw both of these videos and loved them both soooo much that I wanted to share!
The first one they actually showed part of at church several weeks ago and then I saw it again and showed Chris, we cracked up! ... it's great... take a look...
(Don't forget to pause the playlist at the bottom!)

hahahahah that is great. love it.
Second, I have seen some awesome videos of proposals... but Emily (assistant/bff) sent me this one and it is so cute! I cried, laughed, and then watched it again lol it's great.

Ok how creative was he?? Oh my! That took a lot of planning... Love it!

Tonight I am making the crockpot ribs again... we loved them last time... the recipe was so easy!

Ingredients are:
1.5 tbsp sweet paprika (3tbsp)
1 tbsp light brown sugar, lightly packed (2 tbsp)
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (1/4 tsp)
S&P to taste (about 1 tsp each is what I used)
2 lbs pork (baby) back ribs (6 lbs) - leave the membrane on the ribs to help hold them together
1 cup barbecue sauce (3 cups)
Vegetable oil spray.

Click HERE for the full recipe!

I also am doing a little Pinterest surprise for Chris for 12 days of Christmas! :)
I will have to tell after I have already done today's in case he stumbles upon this little bloggy before I get to do it!

Happy Tuesday!

Pinteresting Monday!

I have been finding some great ideas on Pinterest this past weekend!
Lots of good ones for Christmas :)

I love this printable! Would be so cute in a frame!

Strawberrys, Angelfood Cake and Chocolate! So easy and yummy!

Love this.... and I have about 3 trifle bowls haha so this I will for sure try to make!

Chris and I, and I think practically everyone in our families lol, are obsessed with sweet potatoes ... This is a sweet potato mix with marshmellows on top (best part!) all in an orange for more flavor! YUM!!

I LOVE these Santa pancakes :) So fun!

I would love to make these.... maybe next year haha this year I have zero time, but they are cute!

Chris and I are wanting to go somewhere warm after Christmas :) I am going to start looking at places this week... but I am OBSESSSSSED with this bathing suit! Feels weird buying a bathing suit in December, but this one may be too cute for me to pass up ;)

This braid is so chic, love it.... may need Emily's help with this hahaha you know you are the true Pinterest Hair Girl :) XO

How cute are those Toms?

Love the exterior of this home... the front porch is amazing! Wish they would have done a big, beautiful double door though haha but who am I to judge? ;)

The brick wall going to the basement is so pretty... it gives it a "homey" feel I think and is inviting... love that!

Now for my favorite sayings of the week :)

Dont hold grudges! Never a good thing! Let it go so YOU can be free!

hahaha that is funny!

Love this! Very true!

A Baby! & More!

No not me silly! haha
But I thought that was a good blog post title to get your attention ;)
Man this weekend has flown by!
I had a million things going on, and lots of things to share about :)
First and most importantly...I have blogged about my friend Kelly before... I think the last one was actually her so cute prego pictures done by the fabulous Alicia :)
Presh!

Well you may notice on her belly in the pic on the right, due date is Dec 29th ... no sir, that little baby was ready to come out YESTERDAY!!

Baby Mack entered the world at 11:06am weighing 5lbs 12 oz :)
Congrats Kelly & Garrett!!

His cute little stocking on the hospital nursery window!

After he got all cleaned up :) So cute! Look at all that hair!!
I can't wait to hold him! More pics to come I'm sure haha

Next on the agenda... I found Frankie's twin brother on Pinterest ... and in reindeer attire no less ...

How CUTE is that??
Too bad my photo of Frankie isn't quite as professional and nice as his twin's haha
That's a cute idea for next year's Christmas card though!

Last night was my RE/MAX office Christmas Party!
Chris & I
I didn't get very good pics :(
But I did get my fave make up girl at MAC to put eyelashes on for me :)
gross pic, but look at those falsies ha!

Ok lastly...
If you know me, you know I have been SERIOUSLY contemplating getting a tattoo on my wrist for a while now. I think they are cute! And I also think it's a great place on my body to get this particular one for two reasons:
Reason #1-  I will be able to see it daily and it will be a great reminder for me
Reason #2- With all the arm candy I usually am dressed in, if I ever have the desire to hide it, I can do so super easily with a bracelet or something :) See below pic for previous arm candy post!

So while thinking about this over the last two months I have gotten several "signs" if you will, that I should go for it. I won't bore you with those, but they were definitely signs ha.
I stumbled across some interesting tattoo related things on Pinterest...

White tattoos? Hmm.. that's different!

A bracelet tattoo... ok that's pretty cute!

Now I hope you can read this because this is funny....

That'll make ya think about whether or not you should get a tattoo right?
If I follow this chart, then I should get the tat ... ;)
Very logical. Ha.
What I want to get, because I know you're wondering and I've held the suspense, is a little saying that means a lot to me...
"It is well with my soul"
If you grew up in church, you may be familiar with the hymn that these words come from.
Well that song was my grandmother's very favorite... I can hear her singing it in my head (a familiar sound that I hope doesn't go away with age)... I love the words to the song...
If you aren't familiar, here are the lyrics...and a YouTube video by one of my favorite Christian groups, Hillsong United!
**Pause my Christmas Playlist at the bottom of the page before you watch!!**

I love it. I get chills every time I hear it. At church I usually get teary eyed, people are probably like what is going on with this girl? It was played at my grandmother's funeral, and since then, I am loose cannon when it comes on LOL not a joke.

So I think getting these simples words on my wrist will not only remind me of her when I look down at it, but also remind me that no matter what happens in life, stressful times, emotional struggles, happy or not so happy times, sad or mourning, sick or healthy, excited or thankful...
it is well with my soul because someone bigger than me has it under control.  :)
These fonts below I saw on Pinterest and I think I am leaning towards "Feel Script"...

It's readable, but beautiful too :)
Soooo... what do you think?? Anybody have one on their wrist now that they regret? Actually don't tell me! Ha! I don't want to know! I think I have made up my mind :)
Hope you had a great weekend!

Three One Six

This week I had the opportunity to do something I absolutely LOVE!

My church, Southland Christian, took on the awesome task of partnering with a program, Lifeline Christian Missions, to help feed children in Haiti. The goal is to pack 1 million meals, that will feed 3,000 kids for an entire year! Wow!

Chris and I (along with 6,000 other volunteers) knew as soon as we heard this that it would be something we would do.

The first time we did it (either last year or the year before I can't remember??) we thought it would be fun to bring the girls also so that they could get the feel for what service truly is and also see that there are so many kids that need help, and that they can be a part of the mission of helping! I really wanted them to just experience it and hold that act of service in their hearts.

When we did it the first time it was so rewarding knowing how many kids would not go without food because of what our church was able to do for them. Ella & Ava had a blast doing it too! Bonus! lol

This year when the time came, we were all so excited!

The night we went, it was PACKED! It is such a great atmosphere, you just help where you can at your table, music is blaring, everyone is there for one purpose... to help pack food for all those kids!

When you get done with a bag this is what it looks like... this is a meal :)

There are different ingredients that go in the bag to make the meal. Each person at your station has a job and fill the bags, seal the bags, box them, label them and then go to the next!

Of course we wear hair nets ha not to stylish but hey, it's only an hour or so. ;)

Chris carried big tubs of soy and rice around to tables as they got low.
The girls were putting soy and rice and vegetable mix in the bags. I was helping them and then packing the boxes and taping them up to send off.

After the meals that are planned are fully packed for that shift, we all sat down to learn a little about what we did that night, how many meals we packed... and what a success the night was!!

These are some facts about Haiti kids... from the screen so not very good pics ha sorry

So sad to read these facts... but rewarding to know that we made one little step in helping them!

That night us, along with the other volunteers, packed 132,000 MEALS! woohooo!

Up to then this week the church as a whole had packed 743,000 MEALS! crazzzzy!

Quickly on the way to 1 million!

It was such a great time!
