Happy Tuesday!
I have been dying to upload all the pics from this past Saturday night and finally got it done! We hosted a Couple's Shower for my BFF Stephanie and her future husband, Levi at our house... we literally got home from vaca that day at 4am and ALL day I ran around like a crazy person getting everything ready for that night! Thank goodness for Chrissy and Kelly who ran errands, help me set up, and made the entire thing happen! Couldn't have done it without them! XO

We had a MAJOR food table! We had catered pulled pork and chicken from Sarah's Corner Cafe off Winchester Rd... Mmmmm so good! Also had her famous Cheese Casserole too, so yummy. Then just cooked a bunch of other BBQ type dishes... baked beans, potato salad, mini corn on the cobs, fruit, etc!

Another Amazing Cake & Cupcakes by Confused Confections Bakehouse (FYI on Todds Rd)! :) Love those talented ladies, what a great job and such yummy cakes! Also this time we did 3 dozen of their chocolate covered strawberries and O.M.Gsh they were so good, my mouth is watering typing this and thinking of them! Ha!

I printed a few of their engagey pics done by the FABULOUS Alicia w/ Aesthetiica Photography and used to decorate around the food table! :) Her engagey pics are super cute.. totally make you feel like you are watching "The Notebook" all over again ;) Click HERE to see a few on her website ... they are so super cute!

For the decor, we rented black chairs and black tablecloths and went with lime green accents since that is kind of "uni-sex" and it was a couple's shower :) My absolute FAVORITE thing we did was buy lime green tuell (thank you Emily for finding it! XO) and tied it around all the backs of the chairs for a little bit of color! Loved it! I bought flowers from the Fresh Market and the silver tins from Garden Ridge and just put the flowers together myself for centerpieces along with some balloons here and there.

Turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself :)

Shoutout to Chris who went and picked up those tables and 40 chairs in the sweltering heat and set them up!<3

I hope Stephanie and Levi enjoyed their evening as much as I did! It was a fun night and I am so happy for them and wish them a blissfully happy future together! Love you guys! XO

 (Even though if you asked Chris or Chrissy how I am an hour before these little shindigs start, they would tell you to either run, and steer clear and don't talk to me, just leave me in my "zone" to tend to my tasks at hand) haha! ;) 

Vaca!

Last week Chris and I went to the beach.. just us...no kids or family (even though we missed them!) but it was fun to go just the two of us and be together. We went to a little island close to Boca Grande, about 2 hours south of Tampa.

In my last post we had enjoyed the 4th of July there, had a great time having dinner and watching fireworks! The next night the worst thing happened... I got a stomach bug! Literally this is where I slept...

In the bathroom, on the floor, hugging the toilet, vommiting for 12 straight hours. It was the most miserable thing ever. Thank goodness it only lasted for one night. The next day was much better! :)

We went to the beach... so pretty ...

I laid out in the sun while he fished, then he drove up on shore to eat lunch with me :) So fun!

I got to enjoy my new hat!!! Loved it!! It was PERFECT for the beach! Everyone needs one of these! :)

We went to eat at our favorite place down there for dinner one night...

Ok this is random, but all the girls will totally understand why I am so glad I ordered this and hopefully not think it is TMI lol ... when you go on vaca what do you do with your dirty panties? I'm always putting them in a pocket of my bag, or luggage... in a Target bag, etc ha. So one day when I was at a store in Lex called "Caught Ya Lookin'" down on Clay Avenue, I saw this and knew I had to order one!

Voila!

Perfect Panty Keeper! It has a zipper on the top... with a divider down the middle! It's a pretty good size too and they have all sorts of patterns of fabrics you can choose from! Love that store!

We came home at night and were flying right when the sun was setting and I snapped this picture that I just think is so beautiful...

The sun was going down and we were above the clouds and it just looked sooo pretty! :)

We got home at 4am and all day yesterday I had a party to plan.... We hosted a couple's shower for my friend Stephanie and her fiance Levi last night! This is a whole nother' post in itself so once I get the pics uploaded I will post...can't wait for you all to see the cute decor! It turned out so stinkin cute! :)

Oh and I haven't even blogged about Casey Anthony... ugh! Is everyone as ticked as I am about her? I sat in the condo in complete SHOCK when they read the not guilty verdict. I have a great article I will post about that too in a seperate one...!

Happy 4th of July from Sunny Florida!

Sorry it has been a few days... but we are on VACA! Yayy! We made it to the island on Saturday after our terrible day of flying with Delta.. ugh.. it was unbelievable. What was supposed to be a 4 hr flight trip turned into an over 10 hr day! I was on 3 hours of sleep and 4 hours the night before so needless to say it was a rough day. But, we made it just in time to get our boat and over to the island for sunset :)

Chris is such a good little boat driver... the island we are staying at you have to take a ferry to get to the main land (only thing on island are the condos, no stores or anything, I mean literally nothing people. Ha) So thank goodness Chris and his dad keep their boat down here so that we don't have to wait on the ferry to go anywhere! We can just hop on the boat!

On the night before the 4th they have an island parade! It was so crazy... everyone on the island decorates their golf cart and then there is a MASSIVE parade and the carts get judged. Now this was my firts year for the experience, since we normally come down in June, and I am not kidding it was wild! People went ALL OUT on their carts! I wish I would have been warned because I could have planned something amazing for our cart... but it still turned out pretty good...

Last night we went down to the beach for an awesome fireworks show...

Today I will be laying on the beach until dinner tonight :)

Joplin Pic

At church yesterday they mentioned the destruction in Joplin from the terrible storms and tornadoes that hit a few weeks back... and they showed this picture... and I just thought it was so cool... I had to share. You have may have already seen it, but I hadn't, and I loved it!

No buildings left standing in the entire area, everything totally demolished, but the one thing standing firm was the cross in the background that I'm assuming was on a church.

So neat. Reminds me that during storms and trials, no matter what kinds, HE is always there :)

Likes/Obsessions & Dislikes

Maybe I have been watching a little too much "Live with Andy Cohen" on Bravo, and his 3 things he is obsessed with each week, lol, but I thought it would be a good idea to do my weekly "3 obsesses/dislikes" too.

3 Obsessions of the Week:
1. This CRAZY Trial... can't.stop.watching!

Uggghhh she is driving me absolutely crazy. I am not mentioning her name is this post because I don't want google to pick it up and all these crazy's coming to my blog haha. But you know her, who doesn't lets be honest? Just breaks my heart for that poor little girl BUT I still can not stop watching it. I was overly obsessed with it when she went missing and throughout the whole entire things in 2008. I read the court docs online and everything (yes, I am a freak ha). I just got wrapped up in it. So I can't help but follow it now, and I mean it helps a little that it is on HLN 24/7 literally nonstop.
This lady is on my nerves... now she is trying to save her daughter from the death penalty by admitting she was the one who did the chemical searches on the computer. Give.me.a.break. What a joke. Surely the jury is not buying her fabrications.
Now I do feel sorry for him... I mean allegations that he molested his daughter... can't get much worse than that. Poor thing. So Sad.
I heard on HLN a couple of days ago, they were interviewing a lady who has studied all the muscles in a human face and knows what expressions make what muscles move, etc etc. She stated something to the effect of that when you cry, there are particular wrinkles in every person's face and forehead that show up, and also certain veins that you can see ... and when Casey has been crying, none of those facial expression wrinkles or veins were apparent at ALL. She is fake crying. I can tell. I watch Young and the Restless people... you know when someone is fake crying.
Poor little girl... so sad. I pray that justice is served and that her family will have the peace they deserve. :(
 2. "My Heart Can't Tell You No" - By Sara EvansLovvee this song.. it is a remake of an old song I'm pretty sure... but I love it! Just got tickets to see Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans, Easton Corbin & Justin Moore and I am beyond ecstatic about it! Sometimes blogging feels like you are showing your favorite things, new purchases, best pictures, etc and that life is perfect. Libby did a wonderful job of depicting the truth to "real" life... And she hit the nail on the head IMO. No one's life is perfect, flawless, fight-less, stress-free, happy all the time, you get my drift :) And mine is FAR from that too.... I feel stress every single day, some days so bad I want to stay home and just turn off the phone and lay in bed and watch DVR! But life is about knowing what you can handle and knowing when you need a break and can admit to yourself that everyone has problems, and there is ALWAYS someone who has it way worse than you, and I truly believe that! I loved reading this from her, it was refreshing to me. Admitting to anyone, much less thousands of readers, that you are not "perfect" is not an easy thing to do... and I commend and thank Libby for this post! Love her blog! :)  

3 Dislikes of the Week:

1. Jake and Vienna are Back (Heaven help us all!)

Arrrrh! They are so ridiculous! Jake was probably my most least favorite Bachelor EVER... he was annoying the entire season. And Vienna was just as bad. So really you would think they were a match made in heaven... wrong! They were both so fame hungry it was sickening. Well I have just caught wind that they are back... they are appearing on the second season of The Bachelor Pad on ABC on August 8th. They will both be on the show and apparently rekindling their old flame {insert gagging sound here} and trying to work things out. I don't think I will be able to watch so someone please let me know how bad it is! LOL 2. "Ghet-Toes" bahahaha 

I got this picture in an email this weekend from some people attending Prom... and this was the last photo... and I couldn't resist sharing with everyone because it is the absolute most ridiculous thing ever (Close 2nd to the "toe shoes" I shared in Gatlinburg post) only this is a little funny and the toe shoes are just pure gross LOL

3. I can't think of a third one... ?? LOL Maybe next time?
